This class is designed to provide a solid base from which a students work can progress. with points, jacks, and diamond shears, students of all levels will experiment with borsilicate tubing. the main focus will be our approach to the material. shape, scale, and proportion will pass through a technical "strainer" in an effort to create work of varied scale and difficulty.

Matt Eskuche began working in glass in 1998 and has studied with many flameworkers, including Emilio Santini and Cesare Toffolo. he teaches classes at many schools and studios around the country and exhibits his glass sculpture with Habatat Galleries in Chicago. His work can be found in the collections of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Racine Art Museum, and the Museum of Arts and Design in New York.
