Description
This vase is 14.25" tall and 5" wide. "Battuto" is a glassmaking technique. The surface of a battuto piece is ground as if it were cut, producing small, irregular areas. The vase is Blue, with a black, polished stem. Artist Statement: "Fire can destroy; ans yet from that same fire an object of beauty can be created. My passion for taming and forming this dangerous, unpredictable, organic material is why I have dedicated myself to the art of hand blown glass making The attempt to control and share the molten glass into an object of one-of-a-kind beauty is what drives me."
