Description
This class is designed to give students a basic overview of flameworking, a method using glass rods or tubes and a blowtorch to heat and manipulate the glass into a marble. Students will explore a variety of techniques and tool usage, also learning about safety and equipment usage . Students will use clear borosilicate glass, supplemented by color application, in which both solid rod and hollow tubing will be used. Instructed by Mark Payton. No experience required. Class minimum is 4.
Saturdays, 10am-3:30pm; Sundays, 11am-3:30pm
